4th Line Theatre Idyllic, rural, and quintessentially Canadian, each year the 4th Line Theatre Company presents Canadian plays – written by and about Canadians; small town stories or broad national sagas that touch a nerve in all of us.
Bridgenorth Trail The trail is approximately 2.3 km long and runs from Brumwell Street to 5th Line. The trail is lined with native trees and boasts a peaceful and tranquil setting amidst the Miller Creek Wetlands. There are benches located along the Trail that provide a comfortable resting spot.
Curve Lake First Nation Reserve
Indian River Reptile Zoo Over 200 reptiles. Here you can see snakes, lizards, monitors, alligators, turtles, crocodiles, and even special guest animals such as monkeys and more! The animals are housed in state of the art, climate controlled facilities which were specifically designed to house reptiles.
International Trail Day Trails offer a wonderful way to explore nature through the urban and rural landscapes of Peterborough City and County. Communities throughout the region invite residents – their families and friends – to celebrate trails on June 3rd 2020.

Lang Pioneer Village Nestled along the banks of the historic Indian River close to Keene, Lang Pioneer Village Museum features over twenty restored and furnished buildings constructed between 1820 and 1899.
Lakefield Trail Lakefield Trail is a 5.5 km. trail which, after meandering through the Village of Lakefield, connects to the Trans Canada Trail via the Peterborough County Rotary Trail.

ZimArt Rice Lake Gallery – Founded in 2000, ZimArt’s Rice Lake Gallery represents over 50 Zimbabwean stone sculptors. Their work is on display in a beautiful natural oasis overlooking Rice Lake and the Northumberland Hills. This gallery offers the most comprehensive collection of hand carved Zimbabwean stone scultpure in Canada. Sizes range from table top to monumental. All the work is for sale, and the gallery is open daily from June 1st until Thanksgiving from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Parks
Petroglyphs Provincial Park largest known concentration of Aboriginal rock carvings in Canada. Carved into the white marble rock face hundreds of years ago, the 900 petroglyphs depict turtles, snakes, birds, humans and other images. Hiking trails meander through surrounding forests, wetlands and rocky ridges.

Festivals
Buckhorn Fine Art Festival August 15-16, 2020
Curve Lake Pow Wow – Behold two days of dancing, contests and presentations as several North American Indian tribes come together each year in September. Observe the traditional and modern songs and dances that tell of religious, war or social topics. While at the Pow Wow, tour the Whetung Ojibwa Centre art and crafts gallery. Situated on the Whetung Ojibwa Indian Reserve, just north of Peterborough. the third weekend in September
Ennismore Shamrock Festival – July 18 & 19th 2020. Come celebrate the 53rd annual event. Family Fun Day event featuring Ball Hockey, Soccer, a bouncy castle, BBQ, face painting and many more fun family activities. The event continues on July 19th with the Truck and Tractor pulls and other events for the family!
Havelock Country Jamboree – Annual Country Music Celebration from August 13 – 16 2020. Canada’s Largest Live Country Music and Camping Festival!
Keene Pumpkin Festival and Car Show
Lakefield Fairy and Dragon Fest on June 13th, 2020 in Lakefield. Participants are invited to come in costume to the free all-day festival at Cenotaph Park (across from Foodland). There will be sword-fighting knights as well as live music, artisans, face painting and games. Look for all the fairy doors.
Lakefield Jazz Art Craft Festival – occurs July 4th 2020. The 21st Lakefield Jazz Art Craft Festival invites you, your friends and family to come to a breezy day of outdoor summer living beside Lakefield’s scenic Otonabee River to enjoy a wide variety of Jazz music, colourful works for sale by artisans and crafters
Lakefield Literary Festival celebrates its rich literary heritage each July on the weekend closest to Margaret Laurence’s birthday, and showcases many current Canadian authors. The festival was created to celebrate the work of Catharine Parr Traill, Susanna Moodie and Margaret Laurence, among others, all of whom lived and wrote in Lakefield. July 10th – 12th 2020

Westben — Bringing culture and nature together in perfect harmony, the magnificent 400–seat timber-frame barn opens onto a lush meadow, surrounded by the gently rolling hills of Northumberland County. This may not be in Peterborough County, but it is close by and it is a wonderful musical experience. Multiple concerts throughout the year.
